Until photo #10 the beginning of the film is missing

Photos #18 to 20 show Maj Gen (in the Polish Army: “general of brigade”) Kazimierz Schally during his visit in Murnau in May (or June), 1945. Schally was the commander of the Polish Military Mission by the Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force (SHAEF).

The photo # 31 shows ruins of a building in Munich. There is a name “POLSKI KOMITET” on the wall. It means “Polish Committee”. Members of this committee took care for Polish POWs, forced workers and prisoners of KL Dachau. The group of five thousand former prisoners of KL Dachau was transported to Munich (Freimann barracks) in June 1945. (Thank you to Jaroslaw Baczyk).
